Divorce of Parents Can Trigger Stress and Diabetes in Children

STRESS can be experienced by anyone, including the children. In fact, domestic problems, including when parents have to split also affects levels of perceived stress and the child can affect the risk of the child developing diabetes.

More recently, a study of emergency Linkoping University, Sweden, said that divorce and separation can increase a child's risk of developing diabetes type 1. Each parent was given a questionnaire and asked to write down what are the events in his life, the stress caused in the care of the child, as well as concerns with financial problems. Of the 10,000 families, 58% of children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
