Adequate and regular exercise not only necessary for adults, but also children. Lack of physical activity can make children susceptible to obesity that lead to various diseases.

"It has been proven that sports activities are carried out while still children can reduce the risk of diseases such as obesity, heart disease, or diabetes in the future," said dr. Sophia recommends children aged 5 to 12 years to do physical activity every day with the total amount of time of at least 60 minutes in order to obtain maximum health benefits.

Aerobic exercises include jogging, swimming, and gymnastics. For strength training, children can be invited to play a bar, tug of war, hula hoop, sit ups or push ups.

Then sports games such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, and badminton are also recommended.

If you want to exercise that aims to optimize bone density and strength of children are advised to do exercises that lifting the body itself, such as jumping rope or running.
